Stopping Short of Success

Stopping Short of Success

Tina and Ann discuss moving forward in the fear. Shutting down and refusal can appear the same and being stuck in a moment in time. We all have mile markers in our lives that change our course and our lives, forever. They talk associations that are made in traumatic events and what it takes to move forward. They briefly discuss IFS Thereapy (internal family systems) and Ann shares some very personal traumatic events that happened when she was a child that has stuck with her to this day. Breaking through and working toward freedom is a strength. We are showing our kids that crying is strength, hurting moves us forward, and facing trauma is brave. It is critical that adults acknowledge the child in the room during trauma and crisis.

Growth takes time. We need to be transparent about our own failures to de-stigmatize the process of this lifelong journey that we are on.
